Ross Eason has been a Professional Photographer for 40 years starting his career in Sydney working in the commercial and advertising genres. He moved to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in 1991 and established a new business again in commercial advertising and specializing in the tourism, resort and property development sectors
Ross is a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and was awarded his associateship to the Institute in 1998. In 2003 he was awarded the distinction “Master of Photography” by the AIPP, Ross was made an Honorary Life Member of the institute in 2013 for his services to the photographic industry. He served for 7 years as Board Member two of those as National President, served on the national advisory committee for commercial photographers and convened 4 National Conferences for the institute. In 2018 he was made an Honorary Fellow of the AIPP.
Ross and his Family are keen trekkers and have completed many of the 3 to 5 day treks in Australia and New Zealand as well as two Treks along the Kokoda Track in New Guinea, publishing a photo book “Kokoda – Images of a rugged Journey”
A tour with Ross is a learning experience at every level, he will challenge you to look into the image, recognise the key elements of creativity photography and above all learn how to control light. For those with a basic knowledge of the camera he will work with you to learn and understand the importance of Camera control and for advanced photographers how to push the boundaries of light and anticipate the moment.
