Since 2007 Cheryl and Husband Dr Michael Ryan have been involved in supporting a hospital in the far north of India.
Cheryl has been taking tours there for a number of years and is heading over again in December 2016.
Cheryl says,”we support the hospital through helping place volunteer doctors where we can and also taking over second hand equipment that is much needed. We also try to donate around $10,000 annually where possible”.
The charity was established when their 5 year old daughter Maggie asked them why they could not do more than support one person through sponsorship and would it be possible to do something on a larger scale. Hence Maggies Dreamcatcher was established and we are catching her dream of looking after more then one”.
“What a journey it has been!! I never thought I would be setting up a charity and travelling back and forth to India but it has been the most wonderful experience for all of our family. We love having people join us so feel free to contact me and come along on a journey to India you will not forget”.
